Common questions
Do I need to create an account?
No. There is no GoStrength account and no GoStrength server holding your data. Install the app and start.
Is GoStrength right for me?
GoStrength is made for adults aged 40 and over. If you have a heart condition, recent surgery or a fracture, are pregnant, or have been told to limit exercise, speak to your GP or physiotherapist first. The health check in the app helps, but it doesn’t replace their advice.
What should I do if an exercise hurts?
Stop. Tap “Something’s not right” and the app will suggest what to do next. If you have chest pain, feel faint or very short of breath, stop exercising and get medical help straight away by calling your local emergency number, such as 999 in the UK, 112 in the EU or 911 in the US.
Where is my data stored?
Only on your phone, in an encrypted database. Phone backups to iCloud or Google don’t include it. Your health check answers never leave your phone except inside an encrypted backup you choose to make.
What does GoStrength save to Apple Health or Health Connect?
Only if you turn it on: the type of workout and when it started and finished. GoStrength reads nothing from them. You can switch it off in the app or in your phone’s Health settings at any time.
How do I delete all my data?
Settings → Delete all data, then type DELETE to confirm. This wipes everything on the phone, including reminders. If you use automatic backup, you can delete the cloud copies in the same step. Uninstalling the app also removes its data from the phone.
How do I cancel GoStrength Premium?
Subscriptions are handled by Apple or Google, so you cancel them there. On iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. On Android: Google Play → your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
